Hangzhou Intangible Cultural
Heritage Protection Center was established with the authority of Hangzhou Editorial
Board in 2008. It is a non-profitable cultural institution entitled with minister-level
grant attached to the Department of Culture, Radio, Film, TV, Press and Publication
of Hangzhou with an authorized size of six staff.
The center has direct responsibility
for drawing up, approving and carrying out plans for the protection of Intangible
cultural heritage; for doing a census of Intangible cultural heritage as well
as building up the data; for researching the ways of protection and doing the propaganda
work.
The center is equipped with the
administrative units, project protection units, database management units, academic
research units and propaganda units. Since its establishment, the center has been
conscientiously implementing the guiding principles of Hangzhou Municipal Government
Organization, carrying out the non-legacy census as well as the list-declaration,
and the inheritor protection. It has made remarkable achievements coming to the
top in Zhejiang Province.
